چکیده

Significance Natural products provide the inspiration for most drugs, and marine natural products, in particular, are emerging as promising new therapeutics with targets or mechanisms of action. Pharmacological targeting tubulin dynamics has been a validated strategy cancer therapy decades, yielding structurally diverse derivatives, including paclitaxel, vincristine, maytansine, eribulin, six known different binding sites. We discovered chemical scaffold from cyanobacteria that seventh site. report entire spectrum biological novelties, isolation, structure determination, synthesis product, investigation its mechanism action, target identification, mode elucidation at atomic level.

Beyond six scents: defining a seventh Thymus vulgaris chemotype new to southern France by ethanol extraction

The concept of plant chemotype has long been useful to describe secondary chemical phenotypes; however, the idea has practical limitations, especially when applied to ecological questions. This work reports the discovery of a new 1,8-cineole chemotype of Thymus vulgaris from a well-studied area in southern France. Multivariate statistical analysis of ethanol-extracted plant terpenes was used to...

A new anthelmintic cyclodepsipeptide, PF1022A.

The novel anthelmintic cyclodepsipeptide PF1022A was isolated from cultured mycelia of Mycelia Sterilia PF1022 (FERM BP-2671). It showed strong anthelmintic activities against Ascaridia galli in chickens. The structure of PF1022A was determined to be cyclo(D-lactyl-L-N-methylleucyl-D-3-phenyllactyl-L-N-meth ylleucyl-D-lactyl-L-N- methylleucyl-D-3-phenyllactyl-L-N-methylleucyl) by spectroscopic ...

[Proteomic profiling of mechanistically distinct enzyme classes using a common chemotype].

Proteomics research requires methods to characterize the expression and function of proteins in complex mixtures. Toward this end, chemical probes that incorporate known affinity labeling agents have facilitated the activity-based profiling of certain enzyme families. To accelerate the discovery of proteomics probes for enzyme classes lacking cognate affinity labels, we describe here a combinat...

Pharmacological Targets for Neurorehabilitation

In respect to the functional activities of D-cycloserine scientists suggested anticonvulsive activities [4,5] and furthermore the application seems to improve memory and cognitive function. Recently we discovered that D-Cycloserine has the ability to block kynurenic acid synthesis [6]. Kynurenic acid, a metabolite along the kynurenine pathway of tryptophan degradation blocks the glycine sites o...

A Comment on Ion Channels as Pharmacological Targets in Oncology

The recent Perspectives on How to Drug an Ion Channel rightly point out the increasing relevance of ion channels as objects of therapy. We wish to add a few comments about the potential use of channel inhibitors in cancer therapy. During the last decade, different channel types have been found to be overexpressed in a variety of tumors, thus emerging as possible tumoral markers. What is more, i...
